FormsVault + Google Forms gives you the three things a Customer Experience (CX) platform provides. For a fraction of the cost of third-party platforms, you get a foundational CX measurement program— built entirely using tools you and your team already use every day. FormsVault builds and structures the forms, Google Forms collects the data and FormsVault handles the analysis and insights.

  • Automated form generation tuned to CX measurement frameworks (Loyalty, CSAT, CES)
  • AI-powered response analysis that turns raw data into prioritised actions
  • Consistent program structure across multiple survey types

The right choice depends on scale. For teams running 1–50 customer feedback surveys per quarter without a dedicated CX analyst, Google Forms + FormsVault produces equivalent insight quality at a dramatically lower cost and operational overhead.

Google Forms + FormsVault

Google Forms (free) + FormsVault (from $9/month). Runs inside tools your team already uses. AI form generation + AI Insights in the same Google Forms Add-on. No new platform or costs.

Loyalty: Customer Loyalty surveys with FormsVault

Loyalty is the most widely used customer feedback metric in the world. The methodology is simple: ask customers 'How likely are you to recommend us to a friend or colleague?' on a 0–10 scale. Score 9–10 are Promoters, 7–8 are Passives, 0–6 are Detractors.

Loyalty Score = % Promoters – % Detractors.

FormsVault generates a complete customer loyalty survey — including the core customer loyalty question with proper 0–10 labelling, a follow-up open-ended 'what's the main reason for your score?' question, and 3–4 supporting satisfaction questions — in under 60 seconds. The Form Insights panel then calculates your loyalty score, segments Promoters/Passives/ Detractors, and surfaces the top themes from open-ended responses across each segment.

  • Survey frequency: Quarterly for most B2B businesses, monthly for high-volume B2C
  • Minimum response set: 30+ responses (smaller sets produce high variance)
  • Distribution: Email + link sent 7–14 days after onboarding is done or after most recent purchase
  • Form Insights: Loyalty score, Promoter/Passive/Detractor counts, top response themes per segment, and three prioritised actions

CSAT: Customer Satisfaction Score surveys with FormsVault

CSAT measures satisfaction after a specific customer interaction — a support ticket, a purchase, an onboarding session, a product feature release. Unlike Loyalty (which measures overall relationship sentiment), CSAT is transactional: it captures how a customer felt about one specific moment when interacting with your business/brand. CSAT surveys are most effective when deployed immediately after the triggering interaction — within 24 hours for support tickets, and within 48 hours for onboarding sessions.

FormsVault generates a CSAT survey in under 60 seconds. The standard format: one1–5 satisfaction rating with anchored endpoints, one'what was the main reason for your rating?' open-ended follow-up, and oneoptional 'what could we do better?' prompt.

CSAT Benchmarks

B2B: < 70% needs immediate investigation, 70–85% is industry average, > 85% is strong.

B2C: Consumer products and e-commerce typically run 10–15 points higher.

B2B vs. B2C Context: CSAT of 78% after a complex technical support interaction is different from 78% after a standard online product purchase.

CES: Customer Effort Score with FormsVault

Customer Effort Score measures how easy or difficult a specific interaction was. Research from Gartner shows that consistently reducing customer effort is more reliably correlated with loyalty than increasing delight. Customers churn when they have to work hard to resolve an issue — even if the issue eventually gets resolved.

CES uses a simple question: 'How easy was it to [resolve your issue / complete your onboarding / find the information you needed]?' on a 1–5 or 1–7 scale (1 = Very difficult, 5/7 = Very easy). A CES below 3 on a 5-point scale is a strong churn signal.

FormsVault’s Form Insights treats a low CES score the same way it treats a low loyalty or high churn risk → as an Immediate action trigger. CSAT surveys that returns a CES average of 2.4 will generate an 'Immediate: review and simplify the [specific process] within this [timeline]'recommendation backed by specific survey response data.

Churn Analysis & Customer Health Checks with FormsVault

Churn analysis surveys are commonly used post-cancellation — but by then, the customer is already gone. The most valuable churn signal is the one that identifies at-risk customers before they decide to leave. FormsVault's Customer Health Check survey is designed specifically for this use case: it surfaces at-risk accounts, categorises them by potential churn driver, and generates an Immediate action for each identified risk cluster.

1

Deploy a proactive Customer Health Check at 60–90 days post-onboarding

This is the highest-risk churn window. Customers who aren't realising value by day 90 are disproportionately likely to churn at their first renewal.

2

Ask about value realization, support experience, and product / solution fit

These are the three most predictive churn drivers. FormsVault's Customer Health Check template covers all three with properly calibrated questions.

3

Form Insights when you have 20+ responses

Form Insights panel produces a Churn Risk Score, At-Risk Account count, and the top churn drivers ranked by frequency — so you know exactly what to solve and for how many customers.

4

Act on ‘Immediate’ recommendations within 24-48 hours

Response times are critical for identified at-risk accounts, who should get an AM / CSM outreach call or personalised email in 24-48 hours. Response time is the key factor in customer save rates.

4

Trigger ‘Churn Analysis’ surveys within 24-48 hours of a customer leaving

In business, it is inevitable that some customers will churn. What's important is for you to know why they churned and whatcaused the decision. FormsVault's Churn Analysis surveys come in here, with a survey deployable in <1 minute and to be sent 24-48 hours after a customer exits.

Measurement cadence in your CX program

CX programs are NOT just a single survey — they have a coordinated measurement cadence (frequency of usage and analysis) across multiple touchpoints. For a B2B SaaS / IT / software / consulting / services / digital agency business using FormsVault, here's a practical cadence:

  • [Day 7]Post-onboarding → 3-question Customer Effort survey on the onboarding experience.
  • [Day 30]:CSAT check → 5 questions on adoption, support, and value realization.
  • [Day 90]:Customer Health check → 6 questions on value, product fit, and relationship quality.
  • [Quarterly]:Loyalty survey to all customers → 3 questions, analysed with Form Insights asap.
  • [Annual]:CX survey to all customers → 10 questions covering the entire customer experience.
  • [Optional]: CSAT 1-click rating scale feedback on logout and/or send CSAT surveys within 24 hours of all support tickets closed.

Closing the CX loop: From data to action

The primary metric in a CX program isn't Loyalty or CSAT — it's action rate, i.e. the proportion of insights that result in a definite change. A CX program that collects response data and generates insights but doesn't change anything is redundant — it just consumes time without producing value and creates false confidence that the business is listening to its customers.

FormsVault's Immediate / Tactical / Strategicaction framework is designed specifically to drive action rate. The ‘Immediate’ recommendation is something you can do today — call a specific at-risk account, fix a specific UI bug, issue a specific communication. The ‘Tactical’ recommendation goes into the next sprint or project bucket. The ‘Strategic’ recommendation goes into the next planning cycle. This tiering removes the most commonly used excuse for inaction: 'I know there's an issue but I don't know what to prioritise.'

“CX programs with 3 prioritised actions per survey and act on all 3 are worth more than programs with 30 insights but who act on none. Start small. Stay consistent.”
